Summer Theatre Camps for Kids
K.I.D. Camp

K.I.D. Camp seeks tointroduce and develop performing skills in young people through age-appropriateclasses is acting, singing, and dancing. Classes are balanced with rehearsals,so that students can apply concepts learned in their class to their workonstage, culminating in a final performance. The camp is directed by Holly Barkdoll and DennisO’Connell. Marge Adler is the musical director and Kimberly Payne is the choreographer.

Dates:        July 11 - 22, 2011

Times:        9:00am - 4:05pm

Location:    Barberton High School

Ages:         7 - 17 (as of July 1, 2011)

Fee:           $375/camper





Acting Out(side) - Theatre Camp atCuyahoga Valley National Park
Magical Theatre Company and the Cuyahoga ValleyNational Park team up for another fabulous week of overnight theatre camp! Campersdevelop their performing arts skills in acting, voice, movement and, most funof all, stage combat. Classes are balanced with rehearsals so that children canapply new skills to real performances. Campers will  perform scenes from classic plays and filmsthat utilize the outdoors as a stage. These site-specific scenes incorporatethe natural environment around the Environmental Education Center, culminatingin a roving performance through the park. The camp is directed by Holly Barkdoll and Dennis O'Connell. The certified fight choreographer is Alicia Rodis.


Dates:       June 19 - 24, 2011

Location:  Peninsula, OH (Environmental Education Center at Conservancy for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park)

Ages:        Entering Grades 4-10

Fee:          $425 for overnight campers

                 $325 day campers
