LCCC's Stocker Arts Center Hosts Free Performance of Cleveland Orchestra
Youth Orchestra
Families of all ages are invited to a free concert of the Cleveland
Orchestra Youth Orchestra at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 17 at Lorain County
Community College's Stocker Arts Center.
This free event is the final Family Event of the Stocker Arts Center
season. This is the 25th anniversary season of the Cleveland Orchestra
Youth Orchestra (COYO) and its second season under the direction of
James Feddeck, who is also an assistant conductor of the Cleveland
Orchestra.
The COYO was founded in 1986 by Jahja Ling, then resident conductor of
the Cleveland Orchestra, to provide talented young musicians with a
pre-professional orchestra training experience of the highest artistic
standard. Members of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra are middle
and high school students who study privately and are prepared to commit
to an ambitious rehearsal and concert schedule. Feddeck is also an
assistant conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra.
Bring your whole family and come enjoy this gift of wonderful free
music.
