To fracture a familiar phrase, *Bloody Murder, *playing soon at Workshop
Theatre in Amherst, is not your father’s Oldsmobile, nor is it your typical
murder mystery. Murder, murder everywhere, but hardly any blood....As the
Brits would say it’s just “bloody funny!”. Not to say it’s fishy, but red
herrings dot the plot as this bevy of mapcap characters wend their way
through the evening. Included are a hoity toity society dame; a smug self
centered Major; an exotic countess; a flirtatious rogue; a trusty sidekick
maid; a sexy international jewel thief; a blustery, bumbling inspector; a
befuddled intruder; an innocent ingenue; an outcast oriental; a selfless
nun; and a dashing somewhat vain washed up Shakespearian actor. Mayhem
abounds as these rebellious characters go in search of their author to put
an end to it all.

Workshop regulars Kelly Dillon, Bob Kenderes, and Mason Adams are joined by
several performers new to the Workshop stage. They include Patricia
Walocko, Shelby Linder, Dan Hatton, Dan Mosoamas, Lyndi Kollel, Shuyler
Bielend, Thad Tanon, Lilly DeKnol and George Spelvin

Come see this excruciatingly hilarious play written by Ohioan Ed Sala and
directed by Greg Friedman at Workshop Players, opening June 30 and closing
July 17, running for three weekends.

Tickets are $12 each and are available by calling 988-5613. Group rates are
available for groups of 15 or more.

Each performance can accommodate two persons using a wheelchair. Advance
reservations are strongly suggested.
