The Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron is seeking a Keyboard Artist beginning September 1, 2011. Candidate must be proficient at both piano and organ, and be able to provide music in a wide variety of styles. The candidate will provide piano/organ music for the 10:30 AM Sunday service and accompany the adult choir during both the service and at weekly rehearsal, which is generally on Sunday morning prior to the service. There is an additional opportunity to accompany church jazz band (UU Band) which provides music at one Sunday service per month.

A degree in piano/organ or sacred music, or comparable experience and training sufficient to a carry out the duties of the Keyboard Artist is required.  Prior experience in church setting preferred.  Salary range is $8,000-10,000, depending on experience.  A criminal background check will be required of all candidates.
