AUDITION NOTICE
A Christmas Cactus

THE STORY: 
Private investigator Cactus O'Riley and her secretary Fred are about to close up shop on Christmas Eve when they are confronted by two fugitives in search of a dead detective named Jake Marley.  Comedy, mystery and romance converge in this uplifting contemporary Christmas tale where goodwill and justice triumph.

CHARACTERS
Females:
Cactus O'Reilly - female, private detective, 25-40
Adelaide Booker - Fred's mother, 40 and up


Males:
Fred Booker - Cactus' secretary, 20-35
Stuart Windsor - deputy district attorney, 30-50
Neville Smedley - a convicted embezzler, 50 and up
Ramon Ramirez - an illegal alien, 20-40

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Audition Dates:  Monday, August 15 and Tuesday, August 16 at 7:30pm.  Auditions will be held at Clague Playhouse, 1371 Clague Road, Westlake. 

Production Dates: November 11 thru December 11, 2011 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2pm (no performance on Thanksgiving).

Please bring an audition photo and résumé.  Auditioners will be asked to do cold readings from the script.  A perusal script is available at the Clague Playhouse Box Office for a $10 deposit through Sat., August 13, 2011. Box Office hours are Wednesday - Saturday from 1-6pm.
