The Hudson Players are currently accepting applications for directors
interested in their upcoming 67th season of theater. Shows needing directors
include: the great apocalyptic comedy, Early One Evening at the Rainbow Bar
& Grill, the new, fun, audience focused Bingo The Musical, and the classic
musical story, The Secret Garden. Additional details on the shows are below.
Interested candidates should send an email noting the shows they are
interested in along with their resume to info at hudsonplayers.com. The Hudson
Players are a non-profit community theater located in downtown Hudson, OH.

"Early One Evening at the Rainbow Bar & Grill", a laugh out loud
apocalyptical comedy by Bruce Graham being presented November 4, 5, 11, 12,
18 & 19, 2011. This interesting comedy ponders the question you have one day
left on earth, what would you do? Forget mass hysteria and anarchy in the
streets, if your name is Shep and and you tend a bar in western
Pennsylvania, it's one last day of business and some rather odd decisions.
Intelligent and humorous everything is kept low key. We zero in on a well
defined group of strangely upbeat small town folk ass they unceremoniously
and humorously come to grips with their impending doom...then God walks into
the bar. Yes, it sounds like the setup for a bad joke, but that's what
happens..or is it? He approaches Shep with an offer that is out of this
world - funny, witty and intelligent with a surprisingly upbeat end.

Following will be a production of the zippy, fun, new musical comedy Bingo:
The Musical to be presented February 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, 24 & 25,
2012. Written by Michael Heitzman, Ilene Reid and David Holcenberg, Bingo is
"a winning new musical" that allows audience members to play along with the
game of chance. Bingo mixes character songs, quirky contestants, romance and
rivalry into an interactive, presentational contest - all during a fierce
hurricane. Yes, at times the audience even gets to play Bingo as part of the
game at Hamerin County's St Luke's Church basement weekly game where they
will meet, among others, Vern, Honey and Patsy: three pals that have driven
through Hurrican Dora in the name of their weekly obsession. In between the
number calling, strange rituals and fierce competitions, love blossoms and
estranged friends reunite, sending everyone home a winner. A fun, cheerful
and witty new show with songs to bring down the house!

Finally the Hudson Players 67th season will finish up with a production of
the Tony Award Winning soaring musical journey "The Secret Garden." Running
April 27, 28, May 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 18 & 19 of 2012, This classic story by
Marsha Norman with music by Lucy Simon is the winner of three Tonys
including best book! Set in a lonely manor house in 1906 England, it tells
the story of Archibald Craven who yearns for his beautiful, late wife. He
blames his crippled son Colin for her death but soon their world is turned
upside down by young Mary Lennox, a rich, spoiled child, who is sent to live
with them following the death of her parents. While living at the manor
house, Mary discovers a secret walled garden hidden in the grounds and
releases the magic and adventures locked inside, changing their lives.
