Hello, everyone

My, it has been a while, hasn't it? I did not mean for it to be so, but you
know how the summer gets away from you. I've had a few people ask if I have
fallen off the face of the earth in an effort to discover why I haven't been
sending out performance updates lately. The answer is twofold: The truth
is that I have played in a handful of places, but they have either been
private events (weddings, corporate events, etc.) or they've been quite a
distance away from Akron. Secondly, I have not pursued as many gigs as I
may have done in the past because I've been hopping busy with various other
music-related projects which are happily occupying a lot of my time. News
of some of those projects will be coming down the road.....eventually.

Anyway, I did want to give a heads-up about a few things I have cooking so
here it goes.

Monday, August 15: Summit County Songwriter's Circle Workshop 1201 Grant
Ave. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 7pm- The Summit County Songwriter's Circle has
invited me to give a workshop on two-handed tapping guitar technique. This
has been one of my favorite styles to play for many years and so it ought to
be fun to sit up there for a while and wax poetic on how to do it. I'll
play a few and explain a few, we'll probably watch some video and if we're
lucky we'll work on a simple piece. This is open to anyone, free of charge.
If you're a guitar player, great. If you're not but you think you might
just like to listen in with some nice people, you can crash the party.

Friday, September 23: Grace Baptist Church, 5915 Rhodes Road, Kent, OH
44240 330-678-9019 <http://www.graceinkent.org/> www.graceinkent.org
7pm- This is a concert which is part of the Kent State Folk Festival "Folk
Alley" series of concerts which happen all up and down Rt. 59 on Friday
night during the festival. Grace Baptist Church is a new concert location
this year and it's my first year to participate, so we are being initiated
together.

Saturday, September 24: Peninsula Public Library 6105 Riverview Road
Peninsula, OH 44264 330-467-7323 3-5pm- Peninsula Public Library has
music presentations from time to time and has graciously invited me. If the
weather cooperates, we'll have the concert outside at a gazebo, which sounds
cooler every time I think about it.

I hope your summer has been half as fun as mine. Thanks, everyone, for your
continued interest and support.

Blessings,
AC
