*Actors/Friends/Family needed to portray patients in medical school
communication and physical diagnosis simulations **during the *

*2011-12 academic year.*

*  Come help train our future doctors!*

* *

*Pay:                  $20 per hour.  You will be paid as an independent
contractor.*

*
*

*Hours:               Various Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.  You do not
need to be available for all afternoons as we have a wide variety of cases
and ‘patients’.  Work is part-time as needed on a case-by-case basis during
the academic year of September until May.  (If you are in college and home
for summer break, we appreciate your interest but cannot use you unless you
live in the Cleveland area during the school year, thanks.)  We send
invitations with the required times; if you can’t meet those times you are
welcome to reply “no” with no penalty.*

*Location:           Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine on
Cleveland Clinic main campus near University Circle.  Parking is validated.
*

* *

*Type:                All aged 18 and above are welcome.*

* *

*Experience:       Acting or teaching/training experience preferred but not
necessary.  You must be able to memorize well and follow direction. *

* *

*Dress:               You may wear your own clothing during Communication
Skills simulations in which no physical examination takes place.*

* *

*                         You must wear a hospital gown during Physical
Diagnosis simulations in which physical examinations take place.  You may
wear your own sports clothing underneath.*

* *

*                         You are welcome to be considered for both types of
simulations or if you prefer one type, please let us know. *

* *

*Training:            A paid two-hour training is required for each
Communication
Skills simulation.  Timing may vary, but it is usually scheduled on Monday,
Tuesday or Wednesday during the week before the simulation.*

* *

information before inviting you to a Meet & Greet where you can sign up.  *
