{More Information}

Alexandra, 70’s, dressed to go out, sits sleeping in her meticulous Brooklyn brownstone living room on a beautiful Fall morning. The only odd thing… are the jars of flammable film-developing fluid placed in front of every door and on every window-sill, all tied together with jury-rigged fuses. And Alexandra sits holding a lighter.

So begins her final epic battle: to fend off her children outside and live out the rest of her years in her beloved home.

But she’s about to receive the unlikeliest of guests. Through an upstairs window climbs her son Tom, 40’s, the youngest (and most prodigal) of the family. He’s been persona non grata since he fled years ago, but now stands the only chance talking mom off this insanest of ledges.

Can she-- should she -- go quietly into that good night of a nice retirement community? Or die as she’s lived, in a fierce blaze of passionate independence? And who is she willing to take out with her?

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:

TOM
40's. The youngest member of the family, artistic, has never found a place in the world to truly call his own, haunted by the weight of possibility. Though he and his mother had perhaps the strongest bond in the family, he hasn't returned home for 20 years, even missing his father's funeral.
