material for The Capitol Steps. Just when you think you've heard all you
want to hear about potential candidates, tax levies, union busting, and
where was he really born jokes - just in time to influence the way you
vote in November - The Capitol Steps are coming back to Stocker! These
former Congressional staffers satirize the people and places that once

In the Mood,
a 1940s musical revue
Monday, November 14, 2011 - 7:30 p.m.
Much more than a concert, "In the Mood, a 1940s musical revue," is a
retro event that features the "In the Mood" singers and dancers along
with the sensational String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra. The music and
the arrangements are as authentic as it gets. This was a time when all
of America was listening and dancing to the same kind of music. The
combination of up-tempo big band instrumentals and intimate, romantic
ballads set the mood for a future filled with promise, hope and
prosperity. "In the Mood" has been touring the US since 1994, has
visited Europe and Canada, and in 1997, the band and singers were
selected to be part of the entertainment for the 53rd Presidential
Inauguration Ball for President and Mrs. Clinton. www.inthemoodlive.com

Neil Berg's 102 Years of Broadway
Wednesday, December 7, 2011 - 7:30 p.m.
How about a holiday gift of great Broadway music for you and the whole
family! Because 100 and 101 years weren't enough to cover all of the
Broadway music we love to hear, we are excited to bring you "Neil Berg's
102 Years of Broadway." This revue will again feature a dazzling cast of
Broadway performers accompanied by an all-star New York band and will
showcase more of the greatest songs from the hit musicals of the
century. Lyrical treasures such as "Oklahoma" and "Annie Get Your Gun"
will be featured, as well as more recent Broadway fare, such as "Wicked"
and "Rock of Ages." Neil Berg is the composer/lyricist of the hit
off-Broadway musical "The Prince and the Pauper," which ran for two
years at the Lamb's Theater in New York City. His newest musical based
on "Grumpy Old Men" will begin previews this year. www.neilberg.com

Damn Yankees
Wednesday, January 18, 2012 - 7:30 p.m.
Faust, fly balls, and devilishly good fun all meet at the home plate of
"Damn Yankees." Joe Boyd, a 1950s middle-aged baseball fanatic, sells
his soul to the Devil, Mr. Applegate, for "one good long ball hitter"
for his favorite team, the Washington Senators. Mr. Applegate turns him
into 22-year-old sports superstar, Joe Hardy. He leaves his wife behind
and as Joe Hardy he transforms the hapless Senators into a winning team,
only to realize the true worth of the life (and wife) he left at home.
With the help of a handy escape clause and a guilt-ridden temptress name
Lola, Joe outsmarts the Devil, returns to his former self and shepherds
the Senators to the World Series.
