INTERPLAY JEWISH THEATRE announces a staged reading of IMAGINING MADOFF, by Deb Margolin on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 7:00 p.m., at Dobama Theatre, 2340 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights.
Directed by Jacqi Loewy and produced by Faye Sholiton/Interplay Jewish Theatre, the reading features George Roth, Mitchell Fields, and Holly Holsinger. Messrs. Roth and Fields appear courtesy of AEA.
Admission to the reading is free, although donations are greatly appreciated.

Synopsis:
>From his prison cell, Ponzi-schemer Bernard Madoff attempts to set the record straight during his daily interviews with a biographer. His story retold becomes a story relived as he recalls one particular event, an all-night study session with Holocaust survivor and poet Solomon Galkin. Galkin manages to touch the financier's otherwise untroubled conscience and reveal some spiritual doubts of his own. Madoff's personal secretary appears, in fragmented counterpoint, to give her testimony before the SEC. The Jewish Daily Forward calls Imagining Madoff "a triumphant play about duality and betrayal."
