Part-Time Costume Shop Draper

Baldwin-Wallace College seeks a part-time costume shop draper beginning fall semester.  Responsibilities include assisting in draping, cutting, and supervising costume construction for department productions.  Professional experience, knowledge of draping and costume construction required.  Millinery, costume crafts, and wig maintenance a plus.

Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:  The following duties are not to be considered a complete list of duties and responsibilities assigned to this position.


  *   Assist in draping, cutting, and supervising construction of Theatre and Dance, Musical Theatre, and Opera department productions.
  *   Assist Shop Manager and Resident Costume Designer in the daily operation of the Costume Shop.
  *   Assist in supervision of student work study employees in the construction of the department productions.
  *   Assist in setting up and supervising costume alterations for all productions.
  *   Assist in costume storage maintenance.  Including rentals and restocking of costumes.
  *   Attend first dress rehearsal of each production; assisting the costume shop manager in dressing students and organizing production notes.
  *   Other duties as assigned.
  *   Maximum of 20 hours per week.
