The roles of Jacob, Joseph, Narrator, Pharaoh and Potiphar are open to but not limited to adult actors.

THE AGE LIMIT FOR ALL OTHER ROLES IS: 12 ~ 21.

Please Prepare

Two pieces of music, one ballad and one up-tempo

16 bars of music for each piece (no longer than one minute)

Bring your sheet music in the appropriate key.

An accompanist will be provided.

 

Bring your calendar with you, conflict dates will not be accepted after the show is cast.

Conflicts reported after the show is cast may result in re-casting your role.

 

Rehearsals

Start on Sunday, September 25th.

Rehearsals will run Sundays through Thursdays, 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

Please assume you will be called to every rehearsal when listing conflicts.

The Production Runs 18 performances:  November 22 ~ December 18, 2011.

This includes four daytime performances.

About the Directors

 

Sarah Elaine Bailey: (Director/Choreographer) Sarah Bailey is a professional voice instructor, director and choreographer. She is a graduate of Ohio Northern University and has her master's in music and pedagogy from the prestigious Westminster Choir College. Sarah has sung on stage at Carnegie Hall with the New York Philharmonic and was a grand finalist at the Guangdong International Vocal Competition in China. Sarah's Directorial credits include Seussical the Musical, Go Dog Go, Madeline's Rescue, Madeline and the Gypsies, Rodger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella and for the past several years, she has directed the Playhouse's annual production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

 

Sharon Alberson: (Musical Director) Sharon Alberson is a graduate of Kent State University School of Music and was a Blossom Music Scholar with the Cleveland Orchestra. A graduate of the University of Akron School of Law, Harvard Divinity School and Oxford University, Sharon is also a lawyer, minister and the founder of Faith Musicals. Sharon was Musical Director for the 2009 production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Seussical the Musical, and Rodger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella at Weathervane.

except in cases where race, gender, age or disability is essential to the play.
