Choreographer Dianne McIntyre is looking for 4 female and 2 male African American dancers for performance of a new choreopoem by playwright/poet Ntozake Shangé.

Location: PlayhouseSquare, Cleveland, Ohio and Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio

Dates:  Rehearsals September 29-October 9, Cleveland & January 25-Feb 9, Oberlin
            Performances: Feb 9 - Feb 18, 2012 Oberlin and Cleveland

Requirements: 1. Strong modern technique plus solid background in one of following: ballet, tap, Afro-Caribbean, social dance forms.
2.      Good speaker

Compensation:  $500 per week.  Non-local residents will receive travel, housing and per diem.

Audition:  Tuesday September 13th Time 2:00PM.
               Gund Foundation Dance Studio - Idea Center - PlayhouseSquare - 1375 Euclid Avenue Cleveland, OH 44115.

Please bring a poem or a monologue to read or recite from memory.  Any person too far to travel can submit a video.  Audition in person is preferred. Video requirements available through the contact below.  REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
