Subject: Paid opportunities for speakers/entertainers


Stone Gardens Assisted Living residence is looking for speakers/entertainers to present programs on Saturday nights from 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM. We can pay $75 for the hour (for a solo presentation).
 
We are a community of senior adults who appreciate interesting lectures, good speakers, and all kinds of musical and other entertainment.
 
Our preference is to find speakers/lecturers for this spot on our calendar, but will consider everything. 
 
Don't limit yourself. If you don't think you are a speaker, consider these examples:
 
If you are an actor/actress, and can speak about Shakespearean comedies (or tragedies, or Moliere, or Ibsen, or Niel Simon, or...), and can supplement that with memorized or readings of monologues or scenes...you are right for this gig.
 
If you are a director and can speak about the challenges and intricacies of directing a theatrical production, from auditions and casting to set design and tech rehearsals, and can supplement with personal anecdotes...you are right for this gig.
 
If you are a filmmaker and can talk about the film making process and maybe provide film clips to illustrate....you are right for this gig.
 
If you have a specialty of any kind, are an expert in any field, are passionate about a hobby, are an author, a musical director, an old film buff, a film or theater critic, a magician, and can put together an hour-long presentation...you are right for this gig.
