*The 13th Season Line-up*

*Woody Guthrie’s American Song *

Songs & writings by Woody Guthrie. Conceived and adapted by Peter Glazer.

October 6 - 30**

Woody Guthrie, the American troubadour, gave passionate voice to the nation
during the Great Depression. Talented actor / musicians sing Woody’s story
from New York’s skid row to the ravaged dustbowl of the Midwest, to the
orchards of California. “So Long It’s Been Good to Know Ya,” “900 Miles,”
“This Land Is Your Land,” plus 20 other songs (and Woody’s poetry) fills the
mind and touches the heart. Special school matinees available.

*Winter Wonderettes***

By Roger Bean

November 23 - December 23**

* *

It’s Christmas, 1968 and the Marvelous Wonderettes, Betty Jean, Cindy Lou,
Missy and Suzy, entertain at the holiday party for Harper’s Hardware, where
Betty Jean has worked since high school. Santa arrives late and brings bad
news – the hardware store is closing. The girls rescue the holiday with a
concert of pop Christmas favorites from “Frosty the Snowman” to “Rockin’
Round the Christmas Tree.” Perfect for the whole family. Corporate and
family packages available.

*Bully*

By Jerome Alden

January 19 - February 5

* *

Military hero, cowboy, Secretary of the Navy, Nobel Peace Prize winner,
conservationist, trust buster, police commissioner, Vice President,
explorer, big game hunter, author, governor, President. It could be a list
of things a child might want to be when they grow up. It actually is a list
of a few of the things Teddy Roosevelt became in the course of his 60 years.
One actor (Neil Thackaberry) explores some of the lives Teddy lived.

*A Girl’s Guide to Coffee*

By Eric Coble

February 23 - March 11

Eric Coble, the award winning Cleveland based playwright whose works have
been performed all across the country, creates a new play for Actors’
Summit. Coffee, from the ubiquitous Starbucks, to the neighborhood shop,
has become a defining commodity of a generation. Alex, a barista
extraordinaire, whose creations elevate the humble bean to hitherto unknown
heights, carves a path from college to whatever comes next.

*The Importance of Being Earnest*

By Oscar Wilde

March 29- April 22 (no performances April 5 - 8)

In the 112 years since the premiere of this trivial comedy for serious
people, it’s generated more laughter than any other piece of dramatic
literature. Jack is Jack in town, but Earnest in the country. His ward,
Cecily is deeply in love with Earnest’s ne’re-do-well brother who doesn’t
exist. Lady Bracknell rules all and is certainly not going to allow her
daughter to “form an alliance with a handbag.” Naturally everything works
out perfectly and everyone lives happily ever after.

*I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change *

Book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_DiPietro>.
Music by Jimmy Roberts<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Roberts_(composer)>
.

May 10 - June 3**

This year we mark the tenth anniversary of our first production of “Love,
Perfect, Change” which was the regional premiere of this laugh out loud,
comedy about the stages of love from dating through marriage and beyond. “The
Perfect Date Play,” said one critic. Great comic sketches are punctuated by
songs that range from high energy hysterics to touching ballads.

*Route 66*

By Roger Bean

June 21 - July 22 (No performances July 5 - 8)

In *Route 66*, a quartet of rowdy Chicago service station attendants (when
attendants still pumped gas) head west on a road-trip filled with music, all
the way to California. The show features such hits as "King of the Road",
"Little Old Lady from Pasadena", "GTO" and even "The Texaco Star Song" among
others, to create an evening of laughter and rip roaring road trip music.
