Most of you are familiar with the graceful elegance of Judson Manor and
Judson Park. Both spaces offer free parking and a stage that will make for
more comfortable viewing – a great perk for our readers as well as our
audience. We’re still working out the details of our 2012 schedule, but it
will include:

ARCHIE’S GIRL, A Radio Drama in the Style of the 1930s by Jean Seitter
Cummins. What does an independent-minded American girl do when she
inherits her expatriate father’s English butler?

ONE-ON-ONE by Robert Noll and Edward Walsh. A basketball court is the site
of racial tension in the Old Neighborhood. You’ll remember Bob from last
season’s successful HEDDA written in partnership with his wife Pamela.
One-on-One piece was a semi-finalist for the 2011 O’Neil.

LIVES OF THE SAINTS by Jean Seitter Cummins. An Irish sibling family of
brothers and sisters in their 70s and 80s is challenged by the threat of
change. We’re reprising this perennial favorite which was a semi-finalist
for the 2009.

We are also considering scripts from other local writers as well as a return
visit from Margaret Hunt with a new version of A KIDS’ HOUSE. We’ll keep
you informed as our schedule develops. And please stay tuned for more
information about PRAY FOR THE MISSING GIRLS.

You saw MISSING GIRLS when it was read by FIRST MONDAYS at Dobama Theatre in
November and December of 2009. It went on to win the Lake Erie Playwright
Competition sponsored by Tri-C last Spring and was also a semi-finalist in
the new play completion sponsored by MultiStages, a Manhattan-based theater
that specializes in multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary works.

Tri-C West has a 430-seat amphitheater that manages to combine intimacy with
spectacle in perfect Aristotelian proportions. Located at 11000 Pleasant
Valley Road in Parma, the theater is easily accessible to East siders via
480 and we hope to see you there.

Tri-C has invested substantially in this production including an entry in
the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival which convenes on a
Midwestern campus in the first week of January. An invitation to the
Festival at the regional level would be the perfect entry to the college and
university market so we’re keeping our fingers crossed.

Stay tuned as the plot thickens and we firm up our schedule for next year.
In the meantime we’re looking forward to seeing you on the Tri-C Campus in
November and at Judson Manor in January.
