*AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE PLAYERS GUILD THEATRE’S *

*30th ANNUAL PRODUCTION OF A CHRISTMAS CAROL the new musical*

* *

CANTON, OH- The Players Guild Theatre will hold auditions for their upcoming
production of the musical *A Christmas Carol*.  Based on Charles Dickens’
classic holiday tale, *A Christmas Carol* tells the ghostly story of
Ebenezer Scrooge and the emotional journey towards his redemption.  The
Players Guild will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the beloved spectacular
holiday tradition this season.



This audition is open to all races and nationalities.  The roles call for
adult men and women as well as teenagers and children 6 years and older.



Auditions will be held on Sunday, October 9 and Monday, October 10 beginning
at 6:00pm. Callbacks are scheduled for Wednesday, October 12 beginning at
6:00pm.



Those interested in auditioning should prepare 32 bars of music in a musical
theatre style and bring sheet music in the correct key for the provided
accompanist.  Additionally, actors should bring a comprehensive list of
rehearsal and performance conflicts, as well as a current headshot and

Rehearsals will be held Monday through Friday 6:30 to 10:00pm.  The
production opens December 2 and runs through December 18.

The Players Guild Theatre, currently celebrating its 80th anniversary
season, is a volunteer-based, professionally staffed theatre presenting
staged productions which stimulate, enhance, and uplift the quality of life
for both its audiences and volunteers.  The Players Guild also exists to
offer instruction in theatre arts through production experience, classes,
workshops, special programming and outreach activities.  At the Players
Guild Theatre, volunteers work side by side with professionals in order to
maintain the highest standards of production, encourage individual
creativity, and enhance their understanding and appreciation of live
theatre.
