Panel Discussion: Fertile Ground: Cleveland Art 1929-1943

Dee Perry host of WCPN/90.3 Around Noon and WVIZ/PBS Applause leads a
lively discussion with artist and historian Alfred L. Bright, gallery
owner, William Busta and art historian Sabine Kretzschmar   detailing
how the supportive atmosphere of the Karamu House' artist workshop
coupled with WPA art projects involving black, white and female artists,
provided fertile ground for a burgeoning Cleveland art scene during the
1930s and 40s.

minutes)

galleries and exhibitions and recalls the vibrancy of Harlem in the

Program at Cleveland State University, leads a post-viewing discussion.
