The Tri-C Eastern Campus Theatre Department announces production dates
for by Marsha Norman.  

 

On October 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd at 8 pm and October 16th and 23rd
at 2 pm Tri-C's Eastern Campus Theatre Department presents Marsha
Norman's 'Night, Mother in the Studio Theater located at 4250 Richmond
Road, Highland Hills, OH 44122.  This devastating, Pulitzer
Prize-winning play will be directed by Eastern Campus Theatre Director
Brian Zoldessy, and features Eastern Campus Theatre instructor Joy
Borland as well as local Actors' Equity Association member Bernadette
Clemens.  

 

 

About the Playwright: 

 

Marsha Norman received the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for her play
'Night, Mother. She has written the book and lyrics for such Broadway
musicals as The Secret Garden, for which she won a Tony Award and the
Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical, and The Red Shoes,
as well as the libretto for the musical The Color Purple

 

 

 

About the Play:

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, this
eloquent, enthralling and ultimately shattering play explores the final
hour in the life of a young woman who has decided that life is no longer
worth living.  'Night, Mother begs us to put our arms around the ones we
love before it's too late.
