[NEohioPAL] CPT starts the season with Springboard, Free Beer Fridays and much more!

Cleveland Public Theatre is bursting at the seams with things to do this weekend! First we start off with Springboard: A Staged Reading Festival featuring innovative staged readings of new scripts by local writers and work that is under consideration for future production. While building strong relationships between directors and playwrights, Springboard also invites the audience to give feedback and engage in post-show discussions to help local playwrights improve their work!

Springboard runs October 6 - 23, 2011
Thursday- Saturday at 7:00pm
Sunday at 3:00pm
Tickets: General Admission $10 | Students and Seniors discount is $2

Purchase a Springboard Pass for only $30 and see as many performances as you like throughout the Springboard series!

This weekend's Springboard will feature Again and Against by Betty Shamiah Oct. 6 & 8 and a double bill Horse Latitudes: Poetic Monologues for Women by Elise Geither and Revenge is a Dish Best Served...With Friends by Monica Morgan Oct 7 & 9

This season CPT is introducing Free Beer Fridays where each Friday we invite you to stay after the performance, enjoy free beverages and chat about the show!

Also this weekend, on October 7 & 8, Opera Per Tutti is at CPT with their new opera Unplugged: Technology Detox. Escape from the modern electronic world and revel in the musical performances of acoustic instrumentalists and singing actors in a relaxing atmosphere un-aided by modern technology. Tickets are $15.

You can check out Royal Ann's Preserve, a FREE performance art installation with ticket purchase to any concurrent CPT production. Royal Ann's Preserve was created by mother daughter team Joan and Faye Hargate and features Carly Garinger, Faye Hargate and Darius Stubbs.  This installation runs Oct 6 - 29.
