Digital animation faculty member Angela Berlingeri continues:
The Tri-C Project Gilgamesh Brownbag Lecture and Workshop Series

"Visual Design Elements and Storytelling: The Epic of Gilamesh"
Thursday, October 20, Noon-1:00 pm,
Tri-C Western Campus
11000 Pleasant Valley Road
Parma, OH 44130

The lecture/demonstration is free and open to the public. It will be held
in Room WSS G4B on the Ground Floor of the Atrium (one floor down from
where the Student Services such as the cafeteria and bookstore are located).

Each lecture or workshop in the series gives insight into the context of
the ancient Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh. This lecture/demonstration explores
the Epic from the point of view of visual designer and animator.

The lecture series is part of Tri-C's Project Gilgamesh, which explores the
Epic of Gilgamesh from a variety of perspectives, both in the classroom
and through the vehicle of the performing arts. Contemporary composer and
violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain is the project's lead artist and will be
creating a songbook for the project. Project Gilgamesh is being conducted at
Tri-C under the auspices of a "Creative Campus Innovations Grant." Tri-C
is one of six recipients of the prestigious national grant, sponsored by
the Association for Performing Arts Presenters and funded by the Doris Duke
Charitable Foundation, with additional support from the Ohio Arts Council.
