Is your house haunted?
Here are the top 5 signs that you may not be alone

Woman who inspired hit TV series “The Ghost Whisperer” to visit Lakeland
October 28

KIRTLAND, Ohio - October 19, 2011 - Contrary to popular belief, having a
ghost in your home (or business) is a little more than just something
going bump in the night.

Just in time for Halloween and to help clarify legends and lore,
Lakeland’s Events Services is hosting world-renowned paranormal
investigator, Mary Ann Winkowski, on Friday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m., 7700
Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, 44094.

Tickets are $50 per person and include dinner at 6 p.m. on the college
campus at Breakers Dining Hall followed by Winkowski’s discussion at 7:30
p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets to sit at Winkowski’s table
are $100 per person (only six available). Tickets for the 7:30 p.m.
lecture only are $25. For reservations, visit lakelandcc.edu/ghost.

Winkowski will lead a casual, fun and informative discussion about ghosts,
or which she prefers to call, earthbound spirits.

“People are still afraid of the unknown. Especially with our youth
obsessed culture, death has been sanitized and cleaned up. Many do not
want to talk about it,” said Winkowski. “So the fear of ghosts goes right
along with the fear of death when in fact it is a very natural part of
being human.”

Winkowski’s forthcoming book, “Beyond Delicious - The Ghost Whisperer’s
Cookbook” (Clerisy Press), is slated for release September 13.

According to Winkowski, here are the top five signs you might have someone
dear who has not really departed:

1. Electrical appliances keep breaking
2. Your dog or cat refuses to go to certain rooms or areas
3. Sudden onset of headaches
4. Consistent colds, flu or fatigue
5. Sudden and unexplained interest in something new

Following the lecture, Mentor Barnes & Noble will host a book signing with
all of Winkowski’s books in the foyer art gallery of the Lakeland
Performing Arts Center.
