[NEohioPAL] "The Fantasticks" opens Friday at TrueNorth!

[TrueNorth Cultural Arts]

*The **Fantasticks *opens this Friday and runs through January 29th at
TrueNorth Cultural Arts. The show is considered to be the world's longest
running musical with 42 years and 17,162 performances of the off-Broadway
production. A mix of Shakespeare's *Romeo and Juliet**,*Donizetti's *L'Elisir
d'Amore**and* and Rostand's *Les Romanesques*, *The Fantasticks* tells the
story of forbidden love between the son and daughter of feuding neighbors.
But will their love survive when they find out their fathers staged the
feud so they would fall in love?



*The Fantasticks* features music by Harvey Schmidt and lyrics by Tom Jones,
based on the book *Les Romanesques* by Edmond Rostand. The TrueNorth
production is directed by Fred Sternfeld  with musical direction by Heidi
Herczeg and choreography by BeBe Weinberg Katz. The show runs January
13th-January 29th (show times Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays
at 3:00 pm) and tickets are on sale now by calling (440) 949-5200 Ext. 221 or
visiting www.TNCArts.org. Tickets are just $12.50 presale and $15 the day
of the performance, and group rates are available.



The show  features an all-star cast of both professional and local talent
