Auditions for

Dead Man Walking

Auditions: Wednesday, January 11

from 5:30PM until 7:00PM or Thursday,

January 12, 6:00PM until 7:30, SLC Theater (Fairmount Boulevard entrance)

 

Show Information: www.dmwplay.com 

 

Casting: 11-16 actors. 

Roles of Sr. Helen Prejean and Matthew Poncelet will not double; all other
roles will be doubled. Need at least 3-5 male actors. 



Rehearsals: Monday – Thursday, 4 – 6pm, January 23 –

March 7, 2012. Some evening and weekend

rehearsals may be required.

 

Performances:

March 8 at 7:00*, March 9 & 10 at 7:30pm, March 11 at 2:30pm

 

*Sr. Helen Prejean will attend the opening night
performance.

 

Audition

Information: Auditioners will be asked to perform two 1-2 minute dramatic,
contemporary monologues with contrasting characters. Monologues should be
prepared with some effort at staging and character development; performers need
not memorize monologues, but should do more than read the script. Auditioners
may be asked to simulate a New Orleans/ Creole accent.
