"RANDOM ACTS"  CAST BREAKDOWN
Flyover Films, LLC, and Route 40 Films, LLC, the creative teams behind the
movie "Doughboy," are currently seeking actors and actresses for their
upcoming feature film "Random Acts."  The Christmas-themed movie will shoot
in Wheeling, West Virginia, is March of 2012.  The film will be produced
under a SAG Ultra-Low Budget contract, so we will see both SAG and non-SAG
performers.

*40 – 50 year old male roles*
DAVID GEORGE – (lead, late 40s,) – David George is a man going through a
struggle --internally and externally.  A land developer by trade, David
grew up poor on a dairy farm and thought he left that life behind him.  A
proud man, he now faces a dilemma of his keeping his family together during
a challenging time.
*We are also seeking the roles of:*
MR. KELLY – A tough, yet professional father of a boy who is being bullied.
MR. ALDERTON – An elementary school music teacher.

*40 year-old female roles*
JULIE GEORGE – (lead, 40s) is a sensible soccer mom with a wry sense of
humor.  Julie comes from an affluent family and is now a stay-at-home/PTA
mom trying to "keep up with the Jones."  The mother of three children (17,
15 and 8), she now tries to keep the family afloat, but feels helpless when
hard times hit.
*We are also seeking the roles of:*
CINDY CRUTHERS – A glitzy television reporter who can be catty when it
comes to her sister.
COLLEEN – A judgmental PTA mom
ALICIA – A fun-loving PTA mom (some comic ability)
LIZ – A judgmental PTA mom

*16-18 year-old female roles*
NATALIE GEORGE -- (lead, 14-16) The middle child in the George family,
Natalie enjoys her life filled with friends, fashion and fun.  A student in
private school, she can be a bit of a snob.  She prefers texting her
friends and feels awkward in face-to-face encounters, especially when
things get emotional.
*We are also seeking the roles of:*
TESSA – A homeless teen who lost everything in a fire.  Despite her rough,
street-smart exterior, she has a softer side.
MOLLY – A local teen beauty queen, Molly dates Nick George and has great
plans for her life.  She is spoiled and has rightfully earned the nickname
“Princess Phony” by Nick’s mother Julie.
*
16-19 year-old boys roles*
NICK GEORGE – (lead, 16-18) Nick is the oldest son in the George family.
He attends private school, has never held a job and thinks he's "the man"
as he drives his family's nice car around town with his beauty queen
girlfriend at his side. He has lived a privileged life and believes that a
lot is "owed" to him in life.  When Nick's family faces struggles, he has
to adjust his attitude and his pride.
*We are also seeking the roles of:*
OLIVER – a manager at a coffee shop who has been given too much
responsibility at a young age
KEL – a geeky teen who is bullied at his school

60-80 year old male roles*
HENRY BANKS – (lead, 60-75) A former pastor, Henry now preaches the message
of kindness to everyone he meets.  Unkempt, Henry appears rough on the
outside, but has a heart of gold.  He's now a farmer by trade and loves
people and spreading joy.
*We are also seeking the roles of:*
PASTOR MEDCALF -- The pastor at a local church.  Gray hair, white beard,
heavy-set and jolly, he's reminiscent of another 'big man' at Christmas.
JOSEPH KING -- The old, regal owner of a popular chain of music stores.  Mr.
King feels he can be blunt and direct because of his wisdom, age and his
money.
WILLIAM GEORGE -- David George's estranged father.  William made his living
as a dairy farmer and is now living his days out at his farm with his cows
and his pride.
*
30 year old male roles:*
JOHN CUTTER, JR. -- (lead, early 30s) John Cutter, Jr., (known to all as
"Cutter") is appropriately named for his curt and jerky style.  A frat boy
who has never grown up, Cutter inherited the job of Cutter and Associates
Land Developers when his father passed away.  Cutter is arrogant, trying to
deflect is lack of knowledge and his ineptness at business.
MOTEL MANAGER -- an impatient manager at a low-scale motel

50 year old female roles*
BECKY-LOU MIZAK– A no-nonsense social worker and director of a local Rescue
Mission
MARLENE SAUNDERS – An eccentric small town attorney
