Acting On Camera and Monologue workshop for advanced actors. 

 This four hour workshop will work on taking your acting to the next level for both auditions and performance.  The actors will be put on tape like a typical audition during the workshop for a before and after look at the process.
Students will be guided through techniques that will allow them to work quickly while being simple and specific in their acting choices.  The workshop will cover different avenues of finding their way into the material using vocal, physical and analytical choices.  The workshop will end with a question and answer about the business of auditioning and acting.
Taught by Jason Kaufman(see bio below) who taught at the Cleveland Playhouse and has been a private acting coach in New York and Los Angeles for many years.

Jason, born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, has spent the last 12 years as an actor in NYC, LA, performing in the regions and internationally on stage.  He has appeared in many film and television shows, including Dexter, Without a Trace, CSI Miami,  along with numerous national commercials. He holds an MFA from the Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University and the Moscow Art Theatre School. He has completed the Meisner program in NYC with William Esper for a two year associates degree along with studying with Lloyd Williamson at the Actors Movement Studio for two years. He was Andrei Droznin’s assistant and protégé for three years.  Andre is the foremost movement teacher in Russia and head of the Vaghtangov school. He has been teaching acting for many years as a private coach with clients including Edi Gathegi(Twilight, X men, House), Chris Messina(voted top ten actors to watch in 2009, Vicki Christina Barcelona, Devil and many
 more)  and Jeff Branson(daytime emmy award winner.) He also taught an auditioning workshop at the Cleveland Playhouse and the Williamstown Theatre Festival when performing in the Cherry Orchard.  His teaching also includes the  Michael Chekov technique and Meisner technique at the Actors Boot Camp in North Hollywood, Ca.  Numerous movement workshops dealing with biomechanics, the mind body connection and the body in space using viewpoints and dance techniques, Shakespeare, scene study, monologue and auditioning classes.
