How to improve board performance and
revitalize your organization
 

KIRTLAND, Ohio – January 23, 2012 - The Lakeland Community College 
Nonprofit and Public Service Center will host “Board Renewal and 
Revitalization: The Power of the Nominating Committee,” on Tuesday, 
February 7 from 5:30 - 8 p.m. on the college's main campus, 7700 
Clocktower Drive, Kirtland 44094, in the A Building, room 2100.  The $55 
fee includes materials and a buffet supper.  To register, visit

This workshop will focus on best practices for nonprofits in the areas of 
board structure, recruitment and development.  The highly interactive 
session will be led by Sarah Spengler, MSOD, program director for 
organizational assessment at United Way of Greater Cleveland. 

Attendees will learn how a new type of committee can help the organization 
renew and revitalize organizational leadership.  They will also discover 
the powerful role this important committee can play in how well the board 
functions.  For the greatest benefit, participants are encouraged to 
register in teams:  teams of board members or teams comprised of both 
board and staff members.
