SUBJECT: AFRICAN COMMUNITY THEATRE SPRING 2012 AUDITIONS

The African Community Theatre at Kent State University will be holding auditions and seeking volunteers for its Spring 2012 production of Marlin T. Tazewell's "Ain't Nothing But A Thang."  This award winning drama/comedy takes a raw look at the problems that plague an African American Family -aids, illiteracy, self-hate, drugs, etc. Because of the adult oriented themes and language, this play is not recommended for children under 17. Director is Dr. Fran Dorsey.



Auditions will be held 5-7p.m. February 16 & 17 and 12-2p.m. February 18, 2012.  The address is 225 Terrace Drive, Oscar Ritchie Hall on the Kent State University Campus in Kent, Ohio. The cast consists of 3 African American women ages 17-50 and 3 African American men ages 17-30.



Please prepare a three to five minute monologue. Volunteers are also needed to assist in all aspects of production.
