[NEohioPAL] CSU Chamber Orchestra Performs Vivaldi, Ewazen, and Others

On Tuesday, February 28th, at 7:30 PM in CSU’s Drinko Recital Hall, the CSU
Chamber Orchestra will perform a free concert of music for string
orchestra.   The program will offer two concertos for multiple instruments
by legendary Baroque composer, Antonio Vivaldi, the concerto for 2 violins
in D minor, and the concerto for two cellos in G minor.

The group will also perform two modern works for strings, the Sinfonia for
String Orchestra, by renowned Julliard faculty member, Eric Ewazen, and a
brand new work by student composer, Corey Rubin entitled Broken
Pearls.  Selections
from Dvorak Piano Quintet in A major will also be part of this evening’s
performance.



Drinko Recital Hall is located in the Music and Communications building at
the corners of Euclid Avenue and East 21st Street.  Parking is free in the
lot located behind the music and communications building (the corner of
East 21st Street and Chester Avenue) Please inform the parking attendant
that you will be attending the concert.
