The Canal Fulton Players are proud to announce that they are holding
auditions for To Kill a Mockingbird, the play that vaulted Gregory Peck to
national prominence and endeared Atticus Finch to the American public.
Auditions will be held on March 12-13, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the United Methodist
Church of Canal Fulton, 363 West Cherry Street, Canal Fulton, Ohio. Directed
by Maria Work, To Kill a Mockingbird, is the story of two children growing
up in rural Mississippi during the Great Depression. As narrated by the
adult Jean Louise "Scout" Finch, the play deals with people dealing with
economic hardship, blatant racism, and heroic principles.
The twelve man, eight woman cast needs four African-American actors or
actresses to play the minister, Tom Robinson, and members of Robinson's
family. These are open auditions and all auditioners should be prepared to read
from the script. The performances will be May 11-13 and 18-20, 2012 at
the United Methodist Church of Canal Fulton.
