Main Street Medina Announces First Annual Medina Square Antique Show

(Medina, Ohio- February 28, 2012) Main Street Medina announced today that it
will partner with the Medina County Historical Society and the Medina
Community Design Committee to host the first annual Medina Square Antique
Show on the Square on Sunday, June 24th, 2012, from 9am to 4pm. Surrounded
by a nationally noted Historic District featuring textbook examples of late
19th-century commercial architecture, the Square will be filled with up to
100 dealers from throughout the Midwest, selling high quality antiques.

“This community is highly recognized as a destination, particularly because
of the Square and Historic District,” stated Main Street Medina executive
director, Matt Wiederhold. “In partnership with the Historical Society and
the CDC, we thought it would be great to host an antique show on the Square.
There are many events that take place here, from juried fine arts show to
family events, our signature International Fest and the venerable
Candlelight Walk, but nothing really celebrates the history of Medina. Also,
we’re anticipating the Medina Bicentennial in 2018, so this may be the first
step in planning a big celebration for that momentous occasion.”

Noted local antique dealers, Marge Staufer and Jane Langol, are consulting
with the committee to insure a quality show, from beginning to end.
