Prejean will attend Opening Night

 

The
Beaumont School Drama Department presents Dead
Man Walking by Tim Robbins, based on the book by Sr. Helen Prejean, March 8
- 11 in the Spiritual Life Center Theater. Sr. Helen Prejean, activist and
acclaimed author of the books Dead Man
Walking and The Death of Innocents
will attend the opening night performance, and participate in an audience
talk-back on Thursday, March 8.

 

Performances
are:

Thursday,
March 8 at 7:00 pm

Friday
March 9 at 7:30 pm

Saturday,
March 9 at 7:30 pm

Sunday,
March 11 at 2:30 pm

 

Tickets
are $8 for adults and $5 for Senior Citizens/Students. Tickets are available
from the Beaumont School box office, at 216-325-7344, or by emailing jwojtowicz at beaumontschool.org Reservations recommended. Seating is limited.

 

Beaumont
School is located at 3301 North Park Blvd., Cleveland Heights, Ohio, 44118.
Entrance for the theater is off of Fairmount Blvd., between Lee and Shelburne
Roads. 

 

Sr.
Helen Prejean is nationally-known for her advocacy to end the death penalty in
America. She began her work in prison ministry in 1981 in New Orleans, LA. The
Roman Catholic sister from the order the Congregation of St. Joseph has
witnessed five executions in Louisiana and today educates the public about the
death penalty by lecturing, organizing, and writing. 

 

The
production of Dead Man Walking is
produced by Special Arrangement with Tim Robbins and the Dead Man Walking
School Theatre Project. 

 

Beaumont
School is a Catholic all-girls college prep high school in the Ursuline
