Director wanted for Lake County Historical Society production of "Road to Antietam," an original musical that deals with the period just prior to, as well as the first two years of, the Civil War; leading up to the Battle of Antietam. Painesville, Lake County area. Tentative Dates: September 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29. 

Director will be responsible for managing the overall creative aspects of the production, will work closely with the cast and crew, and will conduct rehearsals during pre-production. Director will be obliged to develop a vision for the script and carrying out that vision, to take part in selecting cast and crew members, and to ensure that the emotion of key scenes appropriately reflects the message conveyed in the script, adding warmth to reflect the emotional subtext when necessary. 

Applicants will be judged by their creative talent, experience, and ability to run a production. Compensation contingent upon funding. Please submit resume by Friday, March 30, 2012.
