Assuming these auditions were advertised here, would anyone running either the Mayfield or Dobama auditions care to explain their actions? I can understand some plays are cast with certain types, race, gender and ethnicity among the factors, and also understand the reluctance to sound too inhospitable or rude in the notices, but there certainly is no reason to offend people coming to audition for your play.
