ONLY 2 WEEKENDS LEFT TO EXPERIENCE MAC WELLMAN'S SURREAL COMEDY
"THE HYACINTH MACAW" NOW ONSTAGE AT CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM.

"weirdly entertaining" "crisp humor" "encrusted with whiplash images"
"you feel the giddy, floaty sensation you get when your car goes
momentarily airborne" --Christine Howey, Cleveland Scene. (Full review at
http://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/bad-language/Content?oid=2931081)

A mysterious stranger, Mr. William Hard, from The Land of Evening arrives
at a family's home on the banks of Bug River with news that the family
father is a "duplicate" and must be replaced by the stranger himself. He
also claims that the moon is sick and dying. What are Ray and Dora (the
family's slightly uneasy American parents) and their precocious teenage
daughter Susannah to make of this? And what's all this stuff about Mad Wu
the Chinaman? Mac Wellman's surreal/absurdist 'The Hyacinth Macaw'
presents a strange comedy contained inside a sumptuous linguistic
adventure.

The Hyacinth Macaw runs at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through
April 7 at the Liminis, 2438 Scranton Rd., Cleveland, OH 44113. Tickets
are $15 general admission, $12 for seniors and $10 for students. For
reservations and information visit http://www.convergence-continuum.org or
call 216-687-0074.
