Kent State University at Stark professional ensemble to perform American opera favorites



Kent State University at Stark presents Opera America, performed by The Lyric Theatre Ensemble, on Saturday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. in Main Hall Auditorium, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. The concert is free and open to the public; however, tickets are required. For tickets, call the Kent State Stark Fine Arts Box Office at 330-244-3262, Monday through Friday, from 1 to 5 p.m.



The Lyric Theatre Ensemble, the professional vocal ensemble in residence at Kent State Stark, includes vocalists Catherine Robison, soprano; Laurel Seeds, soprano; James GraySmith, tenor; Kenneth Kramer, baritone; and Kenneth Furlan on piano.



Opera America features a full program of arias and scenes, including The Ballad of Baby Doe by Douglas Moore, A Hand of Bridge by Samuel Barber and Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin.
