SEEKING SCRIPTS: 10-Minute and One Acts

 

The North Canton
Playhouse's 

 Nationally
Producing Sixth Annual New Short Play Festival

2012 New Works Festival

Submission Guidelines 

Scripts may be ten (10) to thirty (30) pages
in length

Require minimal technical support  

Playwrights may submit up to two (2) scripts;
free to submit

Plays should do well in a forty nine (49)
seat found space studio

Compensation limited to free tickets and
production credit

 

Submission Requirements

All materials required, sent in one email, files in
PDF format only to:

In the subject/body of the email: 

· Subject line must read "2012 NCP
New Play Submission"

· In email state your full name, contact
information, and play title(s)

· Also, state if your plays have been produced in
previous NCP new works festivals 

 

Attached to your email (as PDF file
only):  

· One (1) page max synopsis

· Resume

· Letter of interest - stating why you wish you play
to be produced at NCP

·Summary preferred, not required

· Title and Character page

· Character page Full script(s) with numbered pages

 

Selection Process 


Approximately ten (10) scripts will be selected for
review/audition with actors, after which three (3) to six (6) scripts will  be selected for production in late June,
2012.  Selections will be announced in
May, 2012.
