                                          Auditions for 
                           Victorian Players Summer Show

     The Victorian Players and J&B Production Arts Services will hold auditions for a summer production being produced by the two organizations.  Titled, Dog Days and written by local playwright J.E.Ballantyne, Jr., the auditions will be held Sunday and Monday night, May 13 and 14 at 7pm. at the Victorian Players at 702 Mahoning Avenue in Youngstown.

     Formerly titled The Long Sobs of Autumn and Black Thursday, the play deals with Albert Wickline (the grandfather of former local actress Sarah Klimenko), a tailgunner in a B-17 bomber,  who was shot down behind enemy lines in France during World War II.  The play is scheduled to open on Friday, July 20 and run for three weekends.

     Casting requirements are for 15 men between the ages of 17 and 40 and 3 women between the ages of 17 and 40.  Some of the available roles would be good opportunities for actors from local high school theater departments.  An adult German Shepherd dog is also required for a brief appearance.
