WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Ballet dancers ages 10-21 
Potential dancers do not have to be students at Cleveland City Dance.  If you do make it into the Cleveland City Dance Company, you would need your current dance school to sign off monthly to confirm you are taking the required dance training in order to dance with the Company.
 
Ø   Audition is required to become a member for 2012-2013 season or by video audition. 
 
Ø   Dancer must attend scheduled audition in order to apply for the E. John Busser Scholarship. Must be 12 years of age.
 
Ø   The audition class will be taught by the Director, Courtney J. Laves-Mearini with Jennifer Safonovs of Neos Dance Theatre returning to adjudicate.
If unable to attend the May audition.  In lieu of an in-personal audition, one may submit a DVD audition. The DVD audition requirements are:
 
	1. A 15-20 minutes demonstration of barre and center technique.  The barre technique shown should include pliés, battement tendus, battement jété, ronde de jambe, passé, développé en croix, grande battements and balances on one leg.  The center technique should include adagio, pirouettes, petite allegro and grande allegro.  (For advance female dancers the center should be on pointe.)
 
	1. A classical variation one to two minutes in length.  (On pointe for advanced ladies) 
This is to show your technical abilities along with performing presence.
 
Mail the DVD with a brief resume and photograph in arabesque by the end of April to:
