Don’t miss this exciting opportunity: Come hear one of the best classical pianists in the world at Shaker Arts Council's Monday, April 23 AHa!
On that evening, Antonio-Pompa-Baldi -- winner of the 1999 Cleveland International Piano Competition, silver medalist and winner of the Award for the Best Performance of a New Work at the 2001 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, and star of top concert stages from Carnegie Hall to Paris’ Théâtre du Châtelet -- will discuss, and perform excerpts from, the magnificent Grieg Piano Concerto.
This is a rare chance to take your place among an intimate circle of listeners and experience the superb artistry and musical knowledge of Mr. Pompa-Baldi, who is both a towering talent and a resident of Northeast Ohio. You’ll also enjoy a wine-and-hors-d’oeuvres reception that starts the evening at 7 p.m., followed by an opening performance by the gifted Jeanette Aufiero, a student of Mr. Pompa-Baldi at the Cleveland Institute of Music. William C. Laufer, Artistic Director and Founder of the Ohio Philharmonic Orchestra, will also be on hand to talk about the vibrant young ensemble, his role in it, and the group’s upcoming May performances of the Grieg Piano Concerto, featuring Mr. Pompa-Baldi.
