Kent State Stark Concert Band to perform



The Kent State University at Stark Music Department will present an evening of classic marches, big band music, theatrical selections and more performed by the Kent State Stark Concert Band on Tuesday, April 24 at 8 p.m. in the Kent State Stark Fine Arts Theatre, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township.



The concert is free and open to the public; however, tickets are required and may be obtained by calling the Kent State Stark Fine Arts Box Office at 330-244-3348, Monday through Friday, from 1 to 5 p.m.



The ensemble, comprised of talented high school and college students, faculty and community members, is conducted by Richard Kibler. The program will include Exaltations! by William Owens, Phantom of the Opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Flourish for Wind Band by R. Vaughan Williams and An American Elegy, composed by Frank Ticheli in memory of those who lost their lives at the Columbine High School tragedy and to honor the survivors.
