We at the Twinsburg Public Library hope that many of you will have an opportunity to see the members of the critically-acclaimed Aquila Theater company in their appearance at the Library on Thursday, April 26 at 7 p.m. The New York City-based troupe will present a staged reading of scenes from Greek Drama, including selections from Homer's Odyssey, Aeschylus's Agamemnon, Sophocles's Ajax and Euripides's Herakles. The performance will be followed by a Town Hall style discussion with Ohio State University classics professor Tom Hawkins. The program is free.

Aquila actors will also hold a "mask" workshop on staging classical plays at 6 p.m. for a limited number of adults at no charge. There are a few participant openings available. Registration is required for the acting workshop and requested for the staged reading. Please call (330) 425-4268 x2.

The troupe will appear as part of a major national humanities program traveling throughout the United States with a mission to inspire people to come together to read, see, and think about classical literature and how it continues to influence and invigorate American cultural life. Ancient Greeks/Modern Lives: Poetry-Drama-Dialogue is a program that has been made possible by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: great ideas brought to life. www.ancientgreeksmodernlives.org
