Ohio Dance Theatre's performance of Peter and the Wolf is a playful
introduction to ballet which features enchanting music, fairy tale fantasy,
clever costumes, and exciting theatrical make-up. The 25-minute ballet is
directed for children and the young at heart. The story is easy to follow
and keeps the audience in suspense until the surprise ending.

Also on the program will be Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra written by
Benjamin Britten. This beautiful orchestral work was written to introduce
the young listener to the instruments in the orchestra. The piece was
constructed in three parts, reflecting the three sections of the music:
theme, variations and fugue and Choreographer and Ohio Dance Theatre
Artistic Director, has focused on the five groups in the orchestra by using
corresponding groups of dancers to illustrate the woodwinds, the brass, the
percussions and two sections of strings.
