JOIN PASSPORT PROJECT AT SCA STUDIOS
FOR A WEST AFRICAN DANCE CLASS
TAUGHT BY Mamadou Sadio (Mohamed) TounkarA OF GUINEA, WEST AFRICA!


Saturday, May 12
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
at SCA Studios
Tuition: $15.00

This authentic, high energy class is geared toward people with movement
experience (in any dance form), but all are welcome.


Mamadou Sadio (Mohamed) Tounkara is on the prestigious Ohio Arts Council
Artist in Residence roster for Traditional Arts. He is an enthusiastic and
kind teacher who loves to share his culture with everyone! Mohamed is the
director of West African dance and percussion for Passport Project, and
with this non
profit organization he has performed and taught throughout
the United States in grade schools, colleges and in four performances at
Severance Hall, the home of the Cleveland Orchestra. He has taught people
ages 3 to 93 and has taught youth with severe physical challenges through
the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital.


Passport Project and Mamadou host a yearly journey to Africa for tourists,
students of dance, music and culture, and anyone who wishes to visit. He
teaches dance and percussion classes regularly at Passport Project, located
close to Shaker Square. More info can be found at

This workshop will be held at Solon Center for the Arts Studios (33000
