*Part Time General Music Instructor*



Solon Center for the Arts is accepting applications for a Part Time General
Music Instructor.



Qualified applicants must have completed at least a Bachelor’s Degree in
Music or Music Education from an accredited institution. Applicants with
certification or experience in Orff, Dalcroze, Kodály, or other established
systems of childhood music education are preferred. Interested applicants
must have at least two years of experience teaching group music classes for
young children. This position involves daytime and possible evening hours
and will begin in June of 2012. The hourly rate of pay is based upon
experience and qualifications.



Candidates for the General Music Instructor position will interact closely
with the Music Department Coordinator in developing creative educational
programming and will be able to work with students at the elementary level.
Candidates may have additional opportunities to teach early childhood
classes as well as to assist in SCA’s theatrical productions. Applicants
must be professional and display leadership qualities in a classroom
setting. Excellent problem solving abilities, organizational skills and
interpersonal communications are required. Applicants must be able to work
in a team environment.
