Swing Dance at the Lakewood Masonic Temple Friday, May11th with pre-dance lessons and live band!

Please come and join us for a fun night of swing dancing to The Demetrius Steinmetz band featuring vocalist Eileen Burns
at the Lakewood Masonic Temple! 

This is the longest running swing dance in the Cleveland area. Over 100 people of all ages and abilities attend this swing dance. 

The cost of the dance is $12 per person or $10 for students and seniors with a valid ID 

Be sure to arrive in time to take part in the easy jitterbug lesson from 8pm to 9pm 

Immediately after the lesson (at 9 PM) the Demetrius Steinmetz band featuring vocalist Eileen Burns will kick off an awesome night of music and swing dancing until 12am. 

Everyone is welcome and there is no need to have previous dance experience or a dance partner. 

Most people dress casually. The best shoes to wear are comfortable and not too sticky on the bottom. 

The Lakewood Masonic Temple is located at 15300 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.

Taking iPod donations for the Music & Memory project at Friday’s swing dance!

What is Music & Memory? It’s an innovative program that uses music to help awaken people with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other issues. (Please watch the video if you haven’t seen it already, it’s amazing.) They need iPods to continue expanding this program, so I’m taking up an iPod collection at Friday night’s dance, which I will send to the Music & Memory project on behalf of the Cleveland swing dance community. If you have an old iPod you don’t use anymore and would like to donate it, there will be a box onstage that you can drop them into. Spread the word!
