Explore, Discover, Create at Camp Digi-Lit offered by The University of Akron College of Education's Center for Literacy.

Register your second through eighth grader by May 31 to ensure a spot at camp.

Our program is designed to nurture, encourage, and inspire future generations of readers, writers, learners and thinkers. Campers will spend a week using their imagination and exploring the world of writing and solving mysteries. They will learn from professional writers and educators how to use computer-based software to help them write, edit, and publish their own digital mystery. At the end of the week, each camper will take home his/her mystery to share with family and friends.

The weeklong camps are held on campus in Zook Hall from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The cost is $200 per camper or $175 for multiple siblings. Digital devices are provided for campers throughout the week for exploration and production. Here's the schedule:

 * Forensic eFiles, June 18-22 for grades fifth through eighth,
 * Uncover the eTreasure, June 25-29 for grades second through fifth.
