[NEohioPAL] Part-time keyboard player needed in Medina

Unity of Medina is actively searching for a part-time (2 Sundays/month) keyboard player to start in the summer/fall of 2012. 

- One service each Sunday, from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm. Rehearsal with soloist (and sometimes a drummer) at 10:00; soloist sings 2 solos. There are 4-5 congregational songs, 3 of which are played every week (“This Little Light of Mine” and “Let There be Peace on Earth” are 2 mainstays each week).  Sheet music and/or chord charts will be provided in advance. No prelude, no liturgy, and the postlude can be a reprise of one of the solos or congregational songs.  
- Music is mostly contemporary (w/ some James Taylor, Beatles, folk tunes and Broadway show tunes thrown into the mix) with some easy to medium-difficult solos. Easy improvisational skills (simple improv on basic chord progressions) needed for soft background music while meditation is spoken and Daily Word is read.  

- Very friendly & family-oriented congregation; average attendance is around 100 (20+ K-12 kids in Sunday School)  

- There are 2 keyboards available: user-friendly, 5-year-old electronic keyboard & an older but well-kept baby grand in the sanctuary, which is in a newly-constructed building at the back of the Williams-on-the-Lake property, close to the Medina County Fairgrounds.
