[NEohioPAL] Position Open for Props Carpenter at CPH

Seeking Props Carpenter 
  
The Cleveland Play House (LORT C) the oldest continuously operating regional theatre in America, is accepting applications for a Properties Carpenter.  CPH produces a 7 show main stage season and 2 shows with the Case Western Reserve University MFA  acting program.  
  
Applicants should have 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in regional theatre.  Detailed knowledge of advanced woodworking and furniture building required.  Some metal working and welding.  Working knowledge of mechanics a plus.  
 
Must have ability to plan projects and work independently. Individual should have good organizational and communication skills and be able to assist the Properties Master with general prop construction.  
 
Other responsibilities include maintaining shop tools and equipment and maintaining hardware, lumber and metal inventories.   
  
Valid driver’s license and ability to lift at least 50 lbs. necessary.  Additionally, applicant should be able to climb and work from a ladder. 
  
Position is full time, seasonal, and runs from August 13, 2012 through April 21, 2013.
